After a long spell away from competitive action since 29th March 2025, due to weather and cancelled matches, the boys returned to the field this morning — and what a return it was.

With a makeshift squad assembled and combinations tested on the fly, this was never going to be straightforward. Being flung together after weeks without a fixture is a challenge for any side, but the character shown today spoke volumes.
From the first whistle, we started brightly. Our early play set the tone, with sharp phases and determined carries putting us on the front foot. That momentum translated onto the scoreboard, and we deservedly went into the break leading 19–14.
Boroughmuir responded well after a halftime break and managed to pull things level at 24–24 early in the second half, setting up what looked like it could be a tense final quarter. But this is where the real growth showed. Rather than retreat, the boys regrouped, trusted each other, and took control.

The final quarter was a statement. Increased intensity, disciplined defence, and clinical finishing saw us pull away decisively, closing out an impressive 41–24 victory. This group are resilient, young men, and every one of them made an impact on the field today.

A strong return. Plenty learned. Plenty to build on!
